Yoga Schedule 4/13-4/17

Hello Tribe,


I hope you all had a blessed and safe Holiday week and weekend! We are all still in this quarantine and I know I've been feeling the effects of a lack of human interaction a lot more recently.


In Italian "I miss you" translates to "Mi manchi"; the literal translation is "you are missing from me". It seemed fitting because we are all missing people both physically and emotionally. There is something to be said about face to face contact and I think it is something that in this day and age, we have forgotten, until now. We've undergone such a massive shift on a global basis that it seems almost unreal. We've been instructed to distance ourselves from friends and loved ones, we've been mandated to wear masks and gloves in public, we've been excused from work and parties have been canceled. All this has caused us to pause, to reflect, and to evaluate our lives. It has forced many of us to wear multiple hats; parent, teacher, chef, maid . It has pushed us to create our own routine, dictated by the needs of our own lives rather than running after the lives of others. I was sent this video by a friend and I thought it was a great perspective to have during these scary times. It is in Italian but has the english translation in subtitles. We cannot eliminate this virus with arms or weapons, but we can defeat the fear and paranoia this pandemic has caused. We can choose to look at this time in our life as a chance to live our truth, to live our lives, and to express gratitude for the wealth of gifts we all have. And we can make a change in our lives to be better, not just today but everyday going forward.



This week we were able to donate $40 to the Community Food Bank of NJ! Thank you all so much for your continued donations! They help to feed the families in our community who are less fortunate and are struggling to bring food to their tables.
